Welcome to the Association of Physician Assistants In Psychiatry (APAP) web site. APAP is a nonprofit organization for Physician Assistants who work in the area of mental health care. APAP is the only officially recognized association for PAs in psychiatry and mental health by the American Academy of Physician Assistants.

The Association of Physician Assistants in Psychiatry is dedicated to the development and advancement of Physician Assistants working in psychiatry.  This is a member driven organization that strives to be a valuable resource for Physician Assistants, and for the community, that provides the information, the education, and the networking needed to expand access to quality mental health care across the United States.

Psychiatry CAQ Exam

The exam date for the Psychiatry CAQ exam is Sept. 10, 2012.
Keep in mind that PAs who submit a completed application by June 29, 2012, and schedule their exam with Pearson VUE by July 9, 2012, will be guaranteed exam administration availability on September 10. However, NCCPA does not guarantee availability at the PAs choice of testing centers. The final deadline for submitting the exam application is September 7, 2012. However, NCCPA cannot guarantee availability of testing centers for physician assistants who attempt to schedule CAQ exams after July 9, 2012.
